Purpose
Active Minds is established for the expressed purpose of increasing awareness of the students, faculty, and staff about the following:

• Issues surrounding mental health
• Symptoms related to mental health disorders
• Mental health resources available both on campus and in the surrounding community
• Reducing stigma surrounding mental health disorders so that students will feel more comfortable openly discussing mental health-related issues and seeking help when it is needed
• Supporting peers to find the skills and resources they need to increase health coping techniques that promote personal wellness
• Providing a forum and building an open environment for all students to speak up about mental health

Active Minds does not provide counseling or any form of clinical mental health care, and an Active Minds chapter is therefore not, nor will ever form, a peer counseling or support group.

Purpose
In an effort to promote community engagement and belonging, the art department plans to reestablish an Art Club; providing studio space for students to meet outside of class at a designated time. Advised by a faculty member, students will be encouraged to apply image-making skills in a communal, social environment. A number of meetings will also be organized off campus each term and students will have the opportunity to take their materials out into the field “en plein air”; experiencing artmaking in a non-academic, real-world environment.

Purpose
The purpose of this club is to give a space and a sense of community to those who are from Asian, Pacific Island, and Desi countries or those who are from these cultures. The club will also provide educational opportunities for all Clackamas students to learn about different Asian cultures. It is a club dedicated to building relationships with fellow students, faculty, and staff from different cultural backgrounds.

Purpose
Founded in 1982, Psi Beta is a national honor society for students attending two-year colleges, inviting students who plan to major or minor in psychology, as well as students who simply have an interest in psychology. Our mission is to encourage professional development and psychological literacy of students by promoting and recognizing excellence in scholarship, leadership, research, and community service.

Psi Beta of Clackamas Community College is a chapter of the national Psi Beta organization. Members must pay a once-in-a-lifetime membership fee to the national organization.

The purpose of CCC SNA

• To assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education in order to provide the highest quality health care.
• To provide programs representative of fundamental and current professional interests and concerns.
• To aid in the development of the whole person, his/her professional role, and his/her responsibility for the health care of people in all walks of life.

The function of CCC SNA

• To have direct input into standards of nursing education and influence the educational process.
• To influence health care, nursing education and practice through legislative activities, as appropriate.
• To promote and encourage participation in community affairs and activities towards improved health care and the resolution of related social issues.
• To represent nursing students to the consumer, to institutions, and to other organizations.
• To promote and encourage students’ participation in interdisciplinary activities.

Purpose
The purpose of this club is to connect to the emotionally aware and culturally aware sustainability needs of the community and attempt to solve issues that arise. To serve as a hub where students can learn about the sustainability needs, deficits, cultural differences, food preservation, and all/any other sustainability concepts revolving around nutrition and other concepts surrounding sustainability (but beginning with nutrition) for the population both local and global. Another purpose is to maintain and continue the connections and resources of the seed bank or create new ones as needed.

Purpose
The purpose of this club is to unite the Latinx/Hispanic student body without limit or exclusion of student or faculties’ ability to join. To inform the community of Latinx/Hispanic American History, Culture and promote diversity in the area. To serve the community at large and specifically provide service to the Latinx Community, on a volunteer basis, as time and academic obligations permit. To expand financial resources and/support, solely for academic purposes, of the student membership by conducting fundraising on and off college campus. To provide financial support, by means of fundraising, to individual students and/or student organizations, strictly in relation to academic progress.
