The most important single act a victim can engage in immediately is getting to a safe place. A victim should find a place where she or he can feel secure and comfortable.
Victims who are injured should seek immediate medical help. Victims should call 911 or have a friend take them to the hospital or private doctor.
Because being a victim can be both physically and psychologically traumatic in the short and long term, many victims seek the support of family, friends or professionals throughout their recovery. Professional assistance or referrals to assistance may be available through the following resources:
Rave Alert is Clackamas Community College's phone, text message and email emergency notification system. It allows you to quickly receive emergency communications and other important information via phone, text message and email. Notifications may be about inclement weather alerts or other emergency communications. Rave Alert system will NOT charge you in any way. Standard or other messaging charges apply depending upon your wireless carrier plan and subscription details. You should review your profile periodically to ensure that it is up to date.
To manage your account, go to CCC's login page on GetRave's website. Your CCC email username (e.g. john.smith@clackamas.edu) and password are your login and password for Rave Alert. If you need assistance, please contact the Public Information Officer at lori.hall@clackamas.edu or 503-594-3162.
The "Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act," or more simply the "Clery Act," applies to every institution of higher education that receives federal financial aid. The Clery Act requires institutions of higher education to distribute annually a description of campus security policies and statistics concerning specific types of crimes. This information, compiled into the Annual Security Report, is to be released to all current students, employees and applicants for enrollment or employment. College Safety prepares the report in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies, and other College department such as Human Resources, Student Conduct Team and employees identified as Campus Security Authorities (see section on Campus Security Authorities for details).
College Safety gathers crime statistics from law enforcement agencies and campus departments and reconciles that information with its own statistics to ensure that the report is accurate and complete. The report is reviewed every year to keep it current on issues, programs, and policies. Printed versions are available in the College Safety Office (Barlow Hall, room 236). To have a printed version mailed to you, please call 503-594-1698. College Safety submits crime statistics to the Department of Education annually.
Information relating to the official Annual Security Report and CLERY crime statistics can be obtained via the links below. Statistics can also be obtained from the U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) website link below.
