Strategic Planning

Headshot of CCC President Tim Cook

Dear colleagues and community members,

I hope this message finds you safe and well. In the fall of 2021, Clackamas Community College launched implementation of a new strategic plan, which will serve the college through spring of 2026. Given the recent challenges of COVID-19 and the changing landscape of education, now more than ever our community is counting on us to:

  • Provide high-quality student and community experiences
  • Respond to the needs of our service district
  • Celebrate and elevate the diverse strengths of our faculty, staff, and other resources

To provide the greatest value in a rapidly changing environment, it is crucial that we establish clear priorities and strategies grounded in equity and inclusion to guide our decision making, investments and programs. The strategic plan provides direction for the college and helps inform the services and programs we provide, how we integrate more purposefully with our community, and how we prepare students for the careers of the future. This plan helps us define who we want to be and how we are going to get there, along with defining what we should be doing and what we need to stop doing. The plan also serves as a reference point as we work through the budget process each year, ensuring we align resources with what is most mission-critical.

In the links and resources below you will find information about our approach to implementing the strategic plan, including action plans, progress reports and team rosters. We hope that you will join and support these efforts, and lend your own experience and expertise to the cause of advancing these strategic priorities. If you have any questions, contact Jason Kovac (jason.kovac@clackamas.edu) or Lisa Reynolds (lisa.reynolds@clackamas.edu).

Kind regards,

Tim
