Tim Cook

President

Dr. Tim Cook has nearly 30 years of experience working in higher education as an advisor, counselor, faculty member and administrator. A native of Oregon City, he joined Clackamas Community College as its president in 2018. A first-generation college student, President Cook understands how community colleges provide economic mobility for students and the communities where they live.

He has a lifelong passion of helping college students achieve their dreams and works each day to remove barriers so students can be successful.

David Plotkin

Vice President of Instruction and Student Services

David C. Plotkin supervises all the instructional deans at the college and oversees all instructional, workforce development, academic support and student services programs. He came to CCC after 16 years at Marylhurst University where he held various positions including chair of the Department of English Literature and Writing, faculty lead for implementing course management software and pedagogical principles of online learning and vice president of Academic Affairs.
Jeff Shaffer

vice president of finance, operations and strategic partnerships

Jeff Shaffer manages College Services, which includes business and campus services, information technology, college safety, the bookstore and human resources. He brings 28 years of experience in public government, most recently as the Dean of Business Services for Clackamas Community College, and previously as director of finance (CFO) and business operations for the Portland Parks and Recreation.
